RAISIN FILLED CAKE 
2 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. Crisco
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

FILLING:

1 lb. raisins
1 c. water
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. nuts, optional

Cook until thick.

Mix together flour, sugar and soda. Cut in shortening, eggs and vanilla. This mixture is moist crumbs. Put 2/3 of mixture in a greased, floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Pour filling over top. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
