This soup is quite tasty! I used 1 lb chicken and 1 lb bison (that's all that i had) and brown rice instead of white, and it was very good. My kids loved it too!

Instead of tomato sauce I use v8 juice or veggie juice not tomato juice or sauce.

I LOVE this recipe !!....I'm eating it right now as I type...The only thing I did differently was to cut back a bit on the sugar, it was a little too sweet for me, and add Salt and Pepper to taste....This one's a definite keeper !...thanks for sharing

Try adding a can of silverfloss sourkraut it adds a nice tang and cuts some of the sweetness.

I really liked this this first time I made it, but I wanted to tweak it a little bit so now I use more beef broth, less sugar and lemon juice and sometimes use V8 instead of the tomato sauce, also I make the beef into meatballs and put the rice into them.

I will make this again and again! Huge hit with the family. So tasty and simple. Addictive! Only change I did was to make the rice on the side because I think it absorbs too much of the soup liquid.

I eliminated the sugar and lemon juice and used brown rice. It turned out, great.

Love it. Make it all the time.

our friends have a polish night and we all cook something so I made this soup. Big hit I get to make it every time we have our get togethers.

I make this soup just like the recipe says and I also add Ekrich Smoked Sausage to it also. That's some good cookin' :)
