BARBECUE 
1 lb. beef, cubed
1/2 lb. pork, cubed
1 lg. onion, diced
1 green pepper, diced
1 (28 oz.) bottle Heinz ketchup
1/2 bottle water
4 1/2 tsp. yellow mustard
4 1/2 tbsp. vinegar
1 1/2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
5 tbsp. dark brown sugar
1/2 tsp. chili powder
3/8 tsp. rubbed sage
1/4 tsp. ground mace
3/8 tsp. black pepper

Cook meat until it comes apart and cook as dry as you can cook it. Saute onions and pepper with Crisco until it starts to brown. Add all the other ingredients and simmer, stirring until everything is well blended. Pour over meat. Mix well and simmer for 15 minutes. Allow to sit overnight before serving.
