BON-BONS 
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
2 lbs. unsifted powdered sugar
1 c. butter
1 pkg. (7 oz.) flaked coconut (about 2 cups)
2 c. finely chopped walnuts
4 pkgs. (8 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate

Combine sweetened condensed milk, powdered sugar and butter. Mix well until smooth and creamy. Add coconut and walnuts; mix thoroughly. Chill 1 hour. Form into small balls (1 inch diameter). Chill 2 hours.

Dipping chocolate: Put chocolate in top of double boiler. Place over hot (not boiling) water. Stir constantly until melted. Remove double boiler from heat. Dip bon bons individually into chocolate. Place on waxed paper to cool. Chill in refrigerator.

Variations: Add 1 cup finely chopped dates, raisins, glaced cherries or prunes with coconut and nuts. Makes about 150 pieces.
