PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
1 (15 1/2 oz.) pineapple rings
Maraschino cherries
Yellow cake

Put butter in a 13 x 9-inch pan. Place in oven till butter melts. Sprinkle brown sugar over butter. Drain pineapple rings and place on brown sugar, using a cherry in the center of each ring. Prepare cake following directions on the box. Carefully spoon over design. Bake 35-40 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Loosen sides of cake. Place platter on top of pan, invert both; lift off pan.
