1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1/2 cup shortening (Crisco)
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped walnuts

Cream together butter, shortening, sugar and vanilla. Add flour and nuts to the creamed mixture. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 400°F for 10 to 12 minutes

While cookies are still warm roll them in additional confectioners' sugar. Cool. Roll in confectioners' sugar again.
