SALISBURY STEAK 
1 lb. ground beef
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 carrot, grated
5 slices stale bread, crumbled
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. season-all

Mix meat, vegetables, seasoning and bread crumbs. Make into oblong patties and brown in shortening. When brown add tomato sauce and water. Simmer 30 minutes. Lift out meat and use sauce to make gravy.
