OLD FASHION CHOCOLATE PIE 
1 baked pie crust
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa
2 c. sweet milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. flour
3 eggs
1 stick butter

Mix sugar, flour and cocoa until well blended. Separate eggs. Beat egg yolks. Add milk and vanilla. Add to dry ingredients. Mix well. Add butter. Cook in double boiler until thick. Pour into baked pie crust. Beat egg whites adding 6 tablespoons sugar. Put on top of pie and bake at 350 degrees until golden brown.

This recipe is almost exactly the same as my Grandmother's (who would be a great, great grandmother today if she were still with us) and she got it from her great aunt, so it probably goes back to the earliest appearance of Hershey's Cocoa. The pie has the comforting taste of milk chocolate with a magical touch of vanilla. Cocoa may be increased by 1 tbsp. or more, and sugar may be reduced to 3/4 cup. And if you don't want a meringue, just put the whole eggs in the pie.
