FRENCH ONION SOUP 
4-5 lg. onions, sliced thin
1/4 c. butter
1 can chicken broth
1 can beef broth
Toasted French bead slices
8 oz. Swiss cheese, sliced
Grated Parmesan cheese

Combine onions and butter in bowl. Cover and microwave at High 6 to 8 minutes. Pour chicken and beef broth into large measure cup and add water to make 1 quart.

Stir in onions, cover and microwave 4 to 6 minutes until heated through. Ladle soup into bowls, top with French bread slices. Place Swiss cheese on bread. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Microwave 5 to 6 minutes until cheese melts.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
