1/2 c. Crisco
1 egg
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. water
1 c. and 2 tbsp. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. M & M plain chocolate candies

Blend Crisco and sugars. Beat in vanilla, water and egg. Sift remaining dry ingredients together and add to sugar and egg mixture. Mix well. Stir in M & M candies. Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Makes about 3 dozen 2 1/2 inch cookies. For additional color press extra M & M plain candies into cookies before baking. Some candies crack slightly in baking adding texture and interest to cookies.
