BREAD CLAY 
1 loaf white bread, minus crusts
1 tsp. glycerin
1 (8 oz.) bottle Elmer's glue
1 tsp. lemon juice
For color: Thickened tempera or food coloring

In large bowl, knead above ingredients until no longer sticky, about 10-15 minutes. Keep in plastic bread bags in refrigerator or freezer. Excellent clay for beads, animals, etc. Hardens in a few days and may be varnished.
