HAM LOAF WITH VINEGAR SAUCE | |
2 eggs, lightly beaten 1 1/4 c. milk 2/3 c. cracker crumbs or rolled oats 1/3 c. tapioca 1 lb. smoked ham 1 lb. pork 1/4 lb. beef 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 tbsp. dry mustard 1/3 c. vinegar 1/4 c. water Combine eggs, milk, crumbs or oats and tapioca. Let stand for about 30 minutes, or until it begins to thicken. Put ham, pork and beef through meat grinder (the meat department at grocery store may do this for you). Combine ground meat with egg mixture. Form into loaf and place in baking pan. Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over loaf and bake in preheated oven for 2 hours, basting frequently. Bake at 325 degrees. Save a little sauce for basting. |
