SPICED ASPARAGUS 
1 can asparagus
1/3 c. vinegar
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 whole cloves
1 stick cinnamon
1/4 tsp. celery seed

Drain asparagus and place in shallow dish. Combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan and cook slowly until sugar has dissolved, about 4 minutes. Pour over asparagus. Chill overnight.
