EASY CHOCOLATE SNACK CAKE | |
1/2 cup boiling water 3 squares of unsweetened chocolate, melted 1/2 cup butter, softened (room temperature) 1 2/3 cups granulated sugar 3 eggs 2 1/4 cups cake flour OR 2 cups plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 2 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup buttermilk 1 teaspoon vanilla Preheat oven to 350°F. Stir boiling water and chocolate together until thick over very low heat. Cool. In a bowl, beat together butter, sugar and eggs, add cooled chocolate mixture and beat on high speed for 5 minutes until fluffy. Blend in dry ingredients (which have been sifted together) alternately with buttermilk mixed with vanilla. Bake in a greased 13x9 inch brownie pan or 2 round 9 inch cake pans in 350°F oven for about 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Submitted by: Belle |
