CHEWY BUTTERSCOTCH BARS 
1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped nuts

Put butter and brown sugar in saucepan on low heat. Bring to boil, stirring occasionally. Cool. Add eggs, one at a time; stir. Add vanilla. Add flour, combined with baking powder. Stir well. Add nuts. Stir. Pour in 9 x 13-inch greased pan.

Bake 30 minutes at 350°F.
