GREEN CHILE JAM 
1 (3 1/2 oz.) can jalapeno peppers
1 (4 oz.) can green chilies
1 lg. green bell pepper
6 c. sugar
1 c. white vinegar
1 bottle fruit pectin
6 (5 oz.) jelly jars
Paraffin

Put jalapeno peppers, green chiles and bell pepper in blender and puree. Mix these ingredients with the sugar and vinegar in a saucepan and bring to a boil.

Cook mixture for about 15 minutes or until it begins to thicken. Skim off foam. Remove from heat, add bottle of pectin and small amount of green food coloring and stir.

Put mixture in jelly jars, let cool. Seal with paraffin.

To serve, pour over block of cream cheese and spread on crackers.

I made this a couple of years ago and everyone loved it. I like it because you don't have to prepare the jalapeños. Just use the canned ones. I'm making it again this year with my daughter. This is a pass along recipe. Make sure you save the recipe, it's hard to find.
