SPAGHETTI SAUCE WITH ITALIAN
MEATBALLS
 
SAUCE:

1 (28 oz.) can tomato puree
2 (16 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes
1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. sugar

Mix together and simmer for at least an hour. Also cooks well in a crock pot.

ITALIAN MEATBALLS:

1 lb. ground beef
4 slices dry bread
2 eggs
1/2 c. grated Romano cheese
2 tbsp. parsley
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper

Soak bread in water for 2-3 minutes, then squeeze out moisture. Combine soaked bread with remaining ingredients, mixing well. Form into balls. Bake in oven, then add to sauce. This makes about 20 meatballs.
