SEMI-SWEET OATMEAL COOKIES 
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. soft butter
6 tbsp. sugar
6 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. water
1 egg
1 c. oatmeal (dry)
6 oz. chocolate chips

Sift flour, soda and salt. Cream butter, sugars, vanilla and water. Beat in egg. Add flour and mix well. Stir in oats and chocolate chip pieces. Drop by teaspoon on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until browned. Makes approximately 4 dozen. This recipe doubles well to use a 12 ounce package of chocolate chips.
