DIVINITY CANDY 
2 3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. corn syrup
2 egg whites
1 c. chopped nuts

Combine 2 1/2 cups sugar, 1/4 cup water and syrup in saucepan. Boil until spins thread. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add remaining sugar gradually. Pour boiling syrup over egg whites slowly and beat until mixture stands in peaks. Add nuts. Pour into buttered platter. Cut in squares.
