TEA CAKES 
1 c. Crisco
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix Crisco, sugar and egg. Add baking powder with flour and mix until creamy. Add vanilla. Bake on ungreased baking sheet 6 to 10 minutes in a 400 degree oven. You can add nuts for variety. Drop by teaspoons on greased baking sheet.
