UNDER - THE - SEA - SALAD 
1 pkg. lime Jello
1 1/2 c. hot water
1/2 c. juice from canned pears
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vinegar
2 c. canned pears, diced
1 lg. pkg. cream cheese
1/8 tsp. ginger

Dissolve Jello in boiling water. Add pear juice, vinegar and salt. Pour 1 inch layer in mold and chill until set. Chill remaining Jello until almost set. Whip with rotary beater until thick and fluffy.

Cream ginger into cheese. Beat the cream cheese by small chunks into Jello. Beat well. Fold in diced pears. Pour mixture into mold on top of first layer. Chill until firm. Unmold on crisp lettuce. Rechill for awhile until well set.
