ALASKAN SALMON PATTIES 
2 c. salmon
1 tbsp. grated onion
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. white sauce
1 c. soft bread crumbs or mashed potatoes ( taste better)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 egg, lightly beaten

Combine all ingredients and chill. Shape into patties and sprinkle with flour. Brown on both sides in small amount of grease.

WHITE SAUCE:

3 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 c. milk

Melt butter over low heat. Add flour, salt and pepper, stirring until well blended. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in milk, return to heat stirring constantly until thick and smooth.
