FRUIT COBBLER 
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. liquid (milk or juice from fruit, if canned)
2 c. (or more) fruit, fresh, frozen, or canned
1 c. flour
1 stick butter

Melt butter in 9x13 casserole dish in a 350 degree oven. Combine sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and liquid. Pour batter over hot butter. DO NOT STIR! Pour or arrange fruit on top of batter and do not stir. Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350 degrees.

NOTE: This is the original recipe from an old friend. I reduce the sugar to 1/2 cup and the butter to 1/4 cup and use water or unsweetened fruit juice for the liquid and still get rave reviews, i.e. little or no leftovers.
