REFRIGERATED NUT COOKIES 
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. butter
4 1/2 c. flour
3 eggs, well beaten
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts

Mix sugars and shortening well. Add eggs, beating in little at a time. Continue beating thoroughly until all ingredients have been added. Make into 2 rolls and wrap in wax paper. Store in refrigerator for 24 hours.

Slice with sharp knife into thin slices and bake at 375 degrees conventional oven, 12 to 15 minutes. Excellent for sending in mail.
