PECAN ROLL COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. butter
3 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
3 c. Corn Flakes or Rice Krispies
2 c. chopped pecans

Beat together shortening, butter, sugar, and vanilla until the consistency is of thick cream. Add flour and mix well. Stir in corn flakes. Divide dough into 4 equal portions. Shape into rolls about 1 1/2 inches. Coat well with pecans. Cut in 1/2 inch slices. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
