VANILLA BUTTER NUT CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco shortening
2 sticks butter
3 c. flour
1 small can condensed milk plus water to make 1 cup
5 large eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. Butter Nut Flavoring or Vanilla extract

Cream sugar, shortening, butter and salt. Add eggs, one at a time. Add flour and milk alternately, ending with flour. Fold flavoring in by hand.

In an unheated oven, bake in a greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour and 45 minutes at 325°F.

Do not open oven door while baking. Remove from pan immediately.
