1 c. pecans, chopped 3/4 c. brown sugar, packed 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips Butter a baking pan 9x9x2-inches. Spread chopped pecans in the pan. Heat the sugar and butter to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil over medium heat, stirring constantly, for 7 minutes. Immediately spread the mixture evenly over the nuts in the pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot mixture. Place baking sheet over the pan so contained heat will melt the chocolate. Spread melted chocolate over candy. While hot cut into 1 1/2-inch squares and chill until firm. You may substitute the chocolate chips with your preferred (4 1/2 oz.) milk chocolate bar, broken into pieces. Makes 3 dozen pieces.
