MARY'S AMERICAN TOFFEE ROLL 
Take along as a gift to the next Christmas party you attend.

1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch chips
2/3 cup evaporated milk (Carnation)
1 tbsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (1 lb.) box confectioners' sugar
finely chopped nuts (I use walnuts)

In a saucepan combine chocolate and butterscotch chips with evaporated milk. Cook, stirring constantly, over low heat until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and salt.

Add confectioners' sugar, 1 cup at a time. Beat until smooth after each addition. Cover, chill for one hour or until firm enough to handle.

Place half of mixture between waxed paper and shape into a 10-inch log. Repeat with second half and roll logs in chopped nuts. Wrap and chill. Slice to serve.

Makes 80 pieces.
