MOLASSES LACE COOKIES | |
3/4 c. melted shortening 1 c. granulated sugar 1/4 c. molasses 1 egg 2 c. flour 3 level tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cloves & cinnamon 1/2 tsp. ginger Cream together shortening, sugar, molasses and egg. Sift together the dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Cool in refrigerator about 1/2 hour before rolling into balls. Roll by level tablespoon into small balls and roll in granulated sugar. Place 2 inches apart on greased pan. Bake about 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool 5 minutes before removing from pan. |
