FROSTED MOLASSES COOKIES 
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. sour milk
3 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. molasses
5 1/2 c. flour

Cream shortening and sugar, stir in eggs and molasses, add remaining ingredients and mix well. Chill dough. Bake at 325 degrees for 12 minutes. Cool and frost.

FROSTING:

1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Cream to moisten.
