DATE AND BANANA DESSERT 
8 ripe bananas
1 lb. dates, pitted
2 navel oranges, peeled
1 1/4 c. light cream
Fine, chopped pecans

Thinly slice the bananas, crosswise. Slice the dates in half and separate the oranges into sections. Arrange 1/2 of the banana slices on the bottom of a clear medium size serving bowl and pour 3 tablespoons of cream on top.

Cover with 1/2 of the dates and pour a further 3 tablespoons of cream on top. Arrange a layer of orange sections, and 3 tablespoons of cream on top. Continue alternating layers of fruit and cream until all have been added, ending with a layer of cream. Chill 1 hour. Can sprinkle fine, chopped pecans on top.
