DATE NUT BALLS (MOM'S FAVORITE) 
1/2 c. butter
1 tbsp. milk
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped dates
2 c. Rice Krispies
1/2 c. walnuts
Dash salt

Beat butter, milk, sugar, egg and salt together. Cook in pan. Remove from heat and add vanilla and chopped dates. Continually stir until dates are mushy; remove from heat. Add Rice Krispies and walnuts. Let cool until you can handle. Roll by teaspoon in coconut. Put in refrigerator until set.
