GREEN PEPPER STEAK 
1 1/2 lb. round steak
2/3 c. water
1 pkg. instant meat tenderizer
1 lg. onion, sliced
1 med. green pepper, cut in strips
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 (16 oz.) can bean sprouts, drained
1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 can beef broth
1 tsp. instant chicken broth
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. water
1 can chow mein noodles

Cut beef into thin strips about 2" long. Mix water and meat tenderizer in bowl, stir in beef. Let stand 5 minutes.

Cook and stir beef, onion and green pepper in oil until beef is brown. Stir in bean sprouts, mushrooms with liquid, beef broth, instant chicken broth and garlic salt. Heat to boiling.

Mix cornstarch and 2 tablespoons water, stir into beef mixture. Cook and stir until thickened. Serve over chow mein noodles.
