BEEF STROGANOFF 
2 tbsp. butter
2 lb. sirloin or round steak, cut into thin strips
1/2 c. chopped onion
3 tbsp. flour (heaping)
1 env. beef flavored mix
Dash pepper
2 c. water
1/2 c. dairy sour cream
1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms or fresh mushrooms

In large skillet melt butter. Brown meat and onion quickly. Remove meat, stir in flour. Mix gradually. Add water. Cook, stirring constantly until thick. Return meat to skillet. Add mushrooms and pepper. Simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir into sour cream and heat through. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes. Serves 6.
