PATTY MELT SANDWICH
Season ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic salt according to taste. Make into patties and cook until done.

Grill sliced onions in butter until tender. Spread butter on bread and brown, buttered side down, in skillet. When toasted, turn bread over and place a slice of Monterey Jack cheese on one slice of bread and a slice of Mozzarella cheese on the other. Put a beef patty on one side; top with grilled onions, then top with other side of bread and cheese. Flip sandwich as when making grilled cheese to completely heat cheese.

WONDERFUL sandwich. This type of sandwich is my absolute favorite. It tasted just like the ones I get in restaurants. I will for sure be making this again.

Thank you. I love patties melts, but never tried to make my own. Just as I started, I realize I did not know which cheese to use. I don't eat them that often, so this is a big help. So I am off to the kitchen to see which cheese I have. Again thank you.

This is my wife's favorite burger. I only recently tried this recipe, and my wife was thrilled. She is the one who gave it 5 stars! Simple and excellent!
