CAMILLE'S BREAD & BUTTER PICKLES 
30 med. cucumbers
8 lg. bell peppers
7 c. vinegar
3 tbsp. mustard seeds
8 lg. white onions
1/2 c. plain salt
7 c. sugar
1 tsp. cloves

Wash and slice cucumbers as thin as possible. Chop onions and peppers. Combine with sliced cucumbers and salt. Cover with ice and let stand 3 hours. Drain. Combine sugar, spices and vinegar in large pot. Heat thoroughly, do not boil. Pack cucumbers in sterilized jars and seal. Makes 11 quarts.
