MILLION DOLLAR PICKLES 
About 50 medium cucumbers, water and salt to cover, and enough salt to hold up and egg. Add together and set aside for 1 week.

On the 8th day, cut cucumbers into chunks. Pour off liquid and cover with plain water. Let set overnight.

On the 9th day, drain, then add 1 teaspoon alum and enough water to cover cucumbers. Soak overnight.

On the 11th day, soak in plain water overnight.

On the 12 day, add 10 pounds sugar, 2 quarts vinegar, 5 sticks cinnamon, 4 cloves garlic, and 1 teaspoon celery seed. Bring to a boil and pour over pickles.

Day 13, pour off liquid and heat. Add to pickles for 4 days in a row, the same mix. At the end of the 4th day, heat mix, place pickles in pint jars, and add hot mix. Seal.
