BANANA LUNCHEON BREAD 
2 c. Pillsbury's Best All Purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. (2 med.) mashed ripe bananas
2 eggs
1/2 c. chopped walnuts (opt.)

In large mixer bowl, combine all ingredients except walnuts. Blend well at medium speed. Stir in walnuts. Pour into 9"x5" loaf pan, which has been greased on the bottom only. Bake at 350 degrees for 65 to 75 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from pan; cool before slicing.

I agree with Laura. I have made Banana Luncheon Bread since the 1970s and it is the best recipe! My version is only slightly different, using oil instead of butter or shortening. Oil, butter or shortening will work well in the recipe.
