1-8 oz pkg small pork sausage links
1 lb. ground beef
1-1 lb. can diced tomatoes
1 envelope brown gravy mix
2-1 lb. cans pork and beans
1 or 2 onions, peeled
whole cloves
1/4 c brown sugar, firmly packed

Brown sausages in skillet. Add ground beef, stirring until lightly browned. Drain off excess fat. Stir in tomatoes and gravy mix. In a 2 1/2 or 3 quart casserole, combine meat mixture with beans. Cut onions into thick slices. Pierce each with 3 or 4 cloves. Arrange onion slices on top of casserole and sprinkle with brown sugar.

Bake at 350°F for about 1 hour.

Serves 6-8.
