MICROWAVE DIVINITY | |
3 c. granulated sugar 1/2 c. light corn syrup 2/3 c. hot water 1/4 tsp. salt 2 egg whites, room temperature 1/4 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped nuts (optional) In 3 quart bowl, cook sugar, syrup and water 12 minutes and 30 seconds on High power (should be a fine thread). Add salt to egg whites and beat until stiff. Slowly pour syrup in a fine stream into egg whites, heating until mixture loses its shine and thickens. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Drop by teaspoon at once on waxed paper or foil. Makes about 30 pieces. Use a stand-type mixer, hand mixer doesn't have enough powder. |
