RED VELVET CAKE 
1 stick butter
4 eggs
small instant chocolate pudding mix
1 yellow cake mix
1 oz. red food coloring
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar

Mix stick butter, eggs, pudding mix, cake mix, food coloring and water together. Beat for 3 minutes. Mix baking soda & vinegar and fold into batter.

Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.

Frosting:

6 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
3/4 c. crisco
3/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 tsp. vanilla

Cook flour and milk until thick; chill thoroughly. Beat crisco, butter and sugar for 6 minutes. Add flour mixture and vanilla. Beat 6 more minutes.
