SWEDISH KRINGLER (PASTRY) | |
1 c. flour 1/2 c. butter 1 tbsp. water Mix like pie crust and pat on cookie sheet in 2 strips. 1 c. water 1/2 c. butter 3 eggs 1 tsp. almond extract Put water and butter in saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add flour, stirring until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add extract. Spread on top of first mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes. When cool, top with frosting: 1 tsp. butter 1 tsp. almond extract Add enough milk to mix to a spreading consistency and drizzle over pastry. |
