BLACKBERRY COBBLER 
2 1/2 c. plain flour
3/4 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
4 to 5 tbsp. ice water

Mix and roll out 1/2 of dough; line bottom of long cake pan; brown. Pour 1 quart berries on crust. Mix 2 1/2 cups sugar and 4 tablespoons plain flour; pour over berries. Dot with 1/2 stick butter. Roll out other half of dough; place over berries. Put 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 stick butter (dot) on top crust. Pour on 3 cups BOILING water. Bake at 400 degrees until bubbly and golden brown.
