EASY BLACKBERRY COBBLER 
1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. almond or vanilla extract
1 (16 oz.) can blackberries or your favorite canned fruit (undrained)

Preheat oven to 350°F. Place butter in an 8-inch square baking dish. Place dish in oven at 350°F for 3 to 5 minutes or until butter melts. Combine flour and sugar in a medium bowl; add milk and almond extract, stirring until smooth. Pour batter over melted butter. (Do not stir.) Pour blackberries over batter.

Bake, uncovered, at 350°F for 45 to 55 minutes or until golden. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Makes 6 servings.
