FRESH BLACKBERRY COBBLER 
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. butter
1 c. milk

Mix well the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut butter in with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Gradually stir in milk, mixing well. Spread half of dough in an 8x12x2 inch baking dish. Dough will be very wet and soft.

Combine in a saucepan: 1 tbsp. cornstarch 4 c. fresh blackberries or raspberries 1 tsp. lemon juice

Place over medium heat and bring to a boil. Boil mixture 1 minute. Remove from heat and pour over dough in baking dish. Drop remaining dough by spoonfuls over berry mixture or pour remaining dough in strips over berry mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until crust is golden.
