FIG PRESERVES 
1 qt. peeled figs
1 c. white Karo syrup
3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. white vinegar

Place figs in pan so they will have plenty of room. Add Karo syrup, sugar, then vinegar. Cook slowly until syrup comes to the top of the figs, then cook at medium heat. Shake the pan occasionally. Do not stir. Cook until syrup thickens, then seal in sterilized jars.
