TACO CASSEROLE 
1 (12 oz.) pkg. Velveeta shells and cheese, prepared
1 lb. ground meat
1 tbsp. dehydrated onion
1/2 cup water
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
salt and pepper, to taste
1 tbsp. taco seasoning mix
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup crushed tortilla chips

Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray (Pam). Take the prepared shells and cheese dinner and spread it on the bottom of the casserole dish.

Brown the meat in a skillet with the dehydrated onions. Add water, tomato sauce, salt and taco seasoning and heat through.

Pour meat mixture over shells and cheese. Sprinkle cheese over top of meat mixture. Then sprinkle crushed chips over the cheese.

Bake at 350°F for 25 to 35 minutes, or until heated through.

Serve with optional toppings: diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, minced onions, black olives, black beans, dairy sour cream, salsa.
