STRAWBERRY FIG PRESERVES 
8 c. smashed figs
5 c. sugar
2 pkgs. strawberry Jello (sm.)

Boil figs and sugar until thick enough to coat spoon - about 25 minutes. Don't let it come to a hard boil. Add Jello and cook 5-10 minutes more. Put in hot jars. Makes 3 quarts.
