HUSHPUPPIES 
1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 c. cornmeal
Beaten eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 sm. onion, finely chopped
3/4 c. milk

Mix dry ingredients together. Add onion, egg and milk stirring lightly. Drop a teaspoon of batter for each hushpuppies into hot deep fat frying only a few at a time until golden brown. Drain off paper towel. Makes 24.
