STRAWBERRY LEMON PRESERVES 
4 c. fresh strawberries
4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice

Heat berries and 2 cups of the sugar to the boiling point, stirring occasionally. Boil 2 minutes. Add remaining sugar and again heat to boiling. Boil 3 minutes. Stir in lemon juice and pour into shallow bowl. Stir occasionally while cooling. Let stand overnight to plump berries.
